We were on our way to Isla San Francisco and as seems to always be the case, light winds on the nose meant we would be motoring. The anchor dropped a few hours later in amongst a crowd of charter boats and a few large power boats. This is such a beautiful spot, it is no surprise that it was a bit crowded.
Over the next two days I managed long hikes on the ridge lined hills and I joined Vicki and Jack for a nice snorkel along the western side of the island, which held a good quantity of fish and some large parrot fish too. One gigantic grouper topped off the dive. I did skip out on one late evening dive where Vicki and Jack explored the southern point of the island for nearly two hours. They gave me a bit of a scare as I couldn’t see them and the sun was well below the horizon. They are both excellent swimmers, so I should not have been worries but with pictures of them being washed to sea, it was a great relief when I found them. Whew.
