It was a motor back down to Agua Verde, the wind has just been non-existent lately – no complaints given it could be blowing 30 knots from the north. Anchor set, I had work to do so everyone else piled into the dinghy to snorkel the pinnacle. On their return I heard stories of giant eels and an octopus so I suppose you can say they had fun.
We grabbed some pesos and headed for shore but getting close it was obvious this was not a good plan with large breakers on the beach. We motored a mile or so to a protected bay, started walking in and decided it was a low chance of making to around the rocky shore and back before sunset, so with our tails tucked between our legs we headed back to Strikhedonia for gin and tonics – truth be told they were perfect and it was good it worked out as it did.
The next morning, Vicki, Teresa, and Jack braved the non-existent wave break on shore for a beach walk and a leisurely breakfast on shore. High marks but be warned, they don’t open until 9am and they order wasn’t taken until around 10am. Bellies fun and smiles on their faces upon return to Strikhedonia where we pulled anchor and headed back north.
