**This is NOT a charter boat** We operate on a share expense format (actual costs to operate Strikhedonia works out to about $3,750 per week (maintenance, fuel, repairs, slip fees) and compare that to nearly $8,000 per week to charter a Seawind 1160 without a captain), here is the contribution to visit us:
Twin berth (stern) single $45 or couple $80 (per night), plus food
Queen berth (private head/bathroom) single $50 or couple $90 (per night), plus food

Every two weeks and at the end of the trip we will thoroughly clean the inside and outside of the boat, this typically takes 3-5 hours depending on the number of people aboard. Here is the inside cleaning list to give you an idea of what is expected: Download

Crew Reviews

“Incredible! S/V Strikhedonia is clean, modern & comfortable. Chris was not just a Captain, but a built in tour guide as well, with a vast knowledge of area. Everyday activities like hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, fishing, socializing with other boats & cruisers or exploring the occasional town or fishing village, soaking up the beauty that Mexico has to offer. Nice down time as well, collecting shells, playing games, reading or listening to podcasts. And we ate like kings! The fresh seafood was a real treat. Chris is a very safe, experienced & courteous sailor. I learned so much about the basics of sailing on this journey & Chris was always willing to teach so much more & answer the 1,000 daily questions I had. An adventure I will never forget & would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks Chris & Strikhedonia!” – Shalise M, U.S.A. (2019)
“Thank you for sharing your wonderful world of sailing on the Sea of Cortez. Your knowledge and expertise of sailing Strikhedonia has enriched my life. It was a privilege to sail with you and Shalise as we shared such a fulfilling adventure together. As I look back at the hundreds of photographs and videos I took I can not find a one that captures the serenity and warm feelings that we experienced. There are no words to describe, no pictures to share, how fantastic our trip was. Thank you.” – Jack G, U.S.A. (2019)
“I really want to thank you for the trip. It was…actually I still don’t know how to put it into words…but I loved it. Thank you so much for your generous spirit, for sharing your floating home with us, showing off you favorite hikes, always being a clear communicator and and all around laid back easy to get along with dude 🙂 ” – Ariel S, U.S.A. (2019)
“Strikhedonia is the most comfortable and clean boat I´ve ever been. It is impossible to feel unwell, also because Chris is a very pleasant person. Every single day of the 2.5 weeks on Strikhedonia was such a great and wonderful time. I could do my run in the morning, kayaking along the shore, snorkeling and watching the amazing underwater world of the Sea of Cortez, and had the best hikes of my life. Chris showed me nine beautiful places in this short time, taught me sailing a catamaran and wasn’t even afraid to hand over the helm. 🙂 He kept his promise and we saw so many dolphins, I couldn’t count them. Chris, I’m so thankful for the chance to be a part of this adventure and I hope I can come back soon.” – Julia E, Germany (2018)
“What an amazing experience! Words can’t explain 3 weeks sailing in the Sea of Cortez. If I were to pick one word it would be “magical.” The sea life, mountains, sunrises, sunsets, beaches, and the people all rival any place on earth Chris handles Strikhedonia like a pro and puts you at ease with sailing even when things get a bit “fun” (8-10′ swells on the port quarter). We had a blast sailing, hiking, snorkeling, and fishing. I don’t want to jinx anything but we caught a fish on every passage. Chris was a great sailing teacher, but really he taught me how to catch and clean fish. Good times! Anyone who gets the opportunity of crewing on Strikhedonia should jump at the chance! Chris is a great person who started as a stranger but is now a friend. I look forward to the opportunity of sailing with Chris in the future! ” – Mike M, U.S.A. (2018)
“Crewing on Strikhedonia with Chris was an amazing experience. Chris is super knowledgeable and safety-focused, so I felt super comfortable and safe the entire time even though this was my first experience sailing. We went to beautiful beaches that we had all to ourselves, went on some crazy hikes to gorgeous viewpoints, and got to see dolphins, rays, turtles, and whales! I highly recommend sailing with Chris if you have the opportunity, and I hope I’ll be able to come back some day.” – Jess L, U.S.A (2018)
“Sailing with Chris and Strikhedonia was a perfect first time sailing experience. Chris not only told me everything I know about sailing, but we also overcame traumata of kayaking, he teached me how to catch some fish and showed us amazing parts of Mexico. If I ever have the chance again, I can’t wait to come back on the boat.” – Sabrina T, Germany (2018)
“Sailing with captain Chris on Strikhedonia was an absolute blast! Although our trip was too short (it always is!), we saw everything we were hoping to see and more. From the waterfalls and baby humpback whales to the craziest St. Patrick’s day celebration, there was never a dull moment. Chris is an easygoing, adventurous, and experienced sailor who really made the experience great for both me and my girlfriend, who now shares the cruising dream with me!” – Aaron and Marketa, U.S.A. (2018)
“Crewing for Strikhedonia was a dream come true! The perfect mix of learning the ropes and relaxation amidst great company. Chris takes immaculate care of the boat making for very comfortable accommodations. The experience was unforgettable; getting to see so much wildlife, great food, cute local anchorages, it was hard not to stay!” – Katherine, U.S.A. (2018)
“Spending 8 days with Captain Chris and the Strikhedonia was an amazing experience. Chris is a great navigator and has patience of gold, allowing you to learn the ropes at your own pace. The boat is extremely organized and comfortable. We started our journey in PV and ended in Barra De Navidad. We anchored along the way at various Mexican beach towns and Chris was welcomed as a familiar face because of his warm and generous nature. My love for the sea and boat life has been enlightened in the most positive way, thanks Captain Chris for the memories of this fantastic journey, I will treasure them forever.” – Lori, U.S.A. (2018)
“Thanks for having us on your boat. We’ll never look at a margarita the same way, hahaha. That was an amazing passage and if you ever need crew again let us know!” – Jeff and Jenifer, U.S.A. (2017)
“Sailing Chris aboard the Strikhedonia is an incredible experience. A knowledgeable and fun captain along with a well kept vessel in the Sea of Cortez makes for an unforgettable time no matter what. I was able to learn more about sailing while still enjoying beautiful anchorages and a nice relaxing atmosphere. It was a great time and I can’t wait to get back.” – Harrison, U.S.A. (2017)
“Sailing on Strikhedonia was such an incredible experience! Chris taught me everything I know about sailing and took our crew to swim with sea lions, dolphin watching, sea turtle spotting and successfully navigated us through a bunch of unforeseen problems. Can’t wait for the next time I have an opportunity to sail on this ship!” – Janis, U.S.A (2017)
