We headed back north to Juncalito. With the anchor set, Jack and Teresa rushed to beat the sunset for a snorkel. I began cleaning up for Jean’s arrival tomorrow and then jump into making dinner. On their return, they shared that it was again a hugely successful snorkel with cool caves and lots of fish. I was very happy that Teresa could have a fun few days in the water. Sadly it was a way too short visit with ugly winds forecast, tomorrow would be a dash up to Loreto to pick up Jean and drop off Teresa and Jack.
In the morning we went to shore for a swap meet/fundraiser that Barney and Sandy (SV Sand-n-barnacles) were hosting at their casita. Sandy had been mentioning it on the morning net and we were happy to fit it into our schedule. We were tempted by a lot of useful items but with too much stuff already I held myself back from buying anything other than some baked goods. It was a great crowd and we were able to meet the two local families who the event was benefitting. They had some amazing jewelry that they make and were offering for sale. It is so great to be a very small part of giving back to the community and a huge shoutout to Sandy and Barney who put in a tremendous amount of work to make this happen.
