Spring fling cruise work mode

I seem to inadvertely steer myself into situations were things are rush, rush, rush. In this case, a weather window to cross to the Baja was here and if it was missed I was looking at another week before the next mellow crossing option. So rush it was, arrival day I dropped off the bow sprit bracket with Rafa to have them painted and then got to getting the boat put back together. All in all it went smoothly and I was checking items off the list left and right – Replace dinghy hoist fiddles (blocks), replace memory foam on the SB side, put away laundry, provisioning, paying Rafa and pickup brackets, getting cash from the bank, getting misc parts from Walmart and the hardware store (the E-scooter again proves it’s value!), chatting with Beto (woodwork guy), installing a wifi enabled water pump drain for the refrigerator, and directing Luis on the final boat cleaning/waxing items, oh and getting the bottom cleaned).

31 hours after landing in Mazatlan, I dropped the lines and headed out of the marina a short distance to stage at Isla Los Pajaros. It was stressful getting off the dock by myself, but it was smooth and soon enough I was dropping the hook, mostly out of the SW swell. I’d had a big lunch, and bailed on cooking dinner. A few snacks and an early night to be for me as at 3:30am departure was on my agenda.
