A nice sunrise let me ease into the day. Some breakfast and coffee before it was time to finish off the starboard holding tank. Everything went together smoothly except, I failed to stick to my own reminder to tighten the tank fittings before reinstalling the tank. I was lucky and was able to tighten the fitting without removing the tank. Whew. A bunch of disinfecting of the locker and rest of the head before I could call this project complete.
Initial work completed, I move a few miles north to Los Gatos. Just one other boat on my arrival, which was nice. I settled in as the wind built. As the afternoon dug on, I hatched a plan for some beach time and around 4pm, I loaded up the kayak and paddled to shore. A short walk to the red rocks where I setup a portable umbrella and my chair. A relaxing time, out of the wind, was had reading a magazine. As the sun descended I took off on a hike up the hill with all the rock cairns before hiking the peak overlooking the bay. I met up with SV Rode Trip at the top for a chat. With darkness quickly coming, I headed back to breakdown my beach stuff and back to Strikhedonia for the evening – the beach time was a great plan.
