It was going to be hot, so I headed for the beach early to start my hike to the petroglyphs. I was surprised to see tents setup and a pack of burros on the ready. Then it dawned on me that the small cruise ship that arrived was about to storm the beach for a day of excursions. Sheesh, the Baja is changing. I hustled off on my hike and hoped that I would not be overrun. I was feeling good, and the pace was quick getting me up to the cave in just 45 minutes. I took some time to reflect and take in the views, and equally important cool down a bit before heading back. Cresting the hill to the anchorage I could see the tender shuttling guests from the cruise ship and getting to the beach folks were already loaded up with the videographer of the group getting some “B” roll.
Back aboard Strikhedonia, it was time for some food to refuel after the hike before getting into work on my laptop. The day slipped away and exhaustion made it a leftover night for dinner. Oh and thankfully around 8pm the cruise ship departed for their next spot.
