A pre-sunrise hike to the top of the hill overlooking Strikhedonia was a perfect start to the day. The colors popped and I relaxed taking in the views of Los Gatos for the last time this season.
Then it was back aboard and moving north just a short three miles to Punta San Telmo. I had not stopped here before but it is called a poor man’s Los Gatos. And that it was, nice with some good red rock features but much less awe inspiring than its neighbor to the south. The low tide rock scramble was fun and I’m glad to have made the stop.
Anchor up and it was on to Agua Verde. Not a terribly long trip (16.5 nm) but long enough to make water and finish up some work. On arrival I was surprised to see the boats pretty equally dispersed between the three spots. Normally, it is packed in the north lob and just a few boats everywhere else. I took a spot off the beach to make an easy kayak access for dinner.
A bit of rest before I settled in and ordered a margarita with some tacos. Oh the luxury of not cooking and cleaning tonight. As I was waiting for my food, Lori and Dennis, of SV Rode Trip arrived. I convinced them to join me at my table and a bit later Neil on SV Pendragon walked by and joined us too. We had all shared the anchorage in Timbabiche a few days ago. Fun conversation led me to add a beer to my bill, the dark sky caused an end to our visit and to the day.
