Pushing the boundaries of what is safe

After a low key recovery/boat project day yesterday, I was ready for some real exercise. Hiking around Isla Mejía is a must every time I’m here. Once I finished my coffee and after watching the sunrise from the top of the boat, I headed out. I dinghied over and explored more of the island than I ever had before, including a super‑sketchy climb up one of the hills.

The day had a bit of extra drama when I realized the long‑sleeve shirt I dropped while heading toward a second hill climb was missing. That turned into a half‑hour search, and I was close to giving up before finally stumbling across it. Ugh. That was dumb.

In the evening, Jenna, Joe, and Geraldo came over for a fantastic potluck steak dinner. Great company and great food!
