Back aboard I wasted no time getting Strikhedonia ready for the passage to Banderas bay. I had Jean and our friends coming in about a week and finding a good weather window meant getting to Perula as quickly as possible. After checking out of the marina, getting a good night’s sleep, at the crack of dawn it was time to get moving – quietly sneaking off before everyone else was up and moving.
It was an easy passage to Perula and with the anchor set I was ready for a nap. Why a nap? Well the weather looked good so come midnight up came the anchor and the push North began. No major weather issues and rounding Cabo Corrientes was a non-factor with a fun whale show about halfway across Banderas bay enroute to Punta de Mita. All told it was about a smooth as it could be for a single-handed passage. As a bonus it gave me a few days to relax and clean up the boat before everyone flew into town.
